Jan Thomas Otte combines theology, economics, and journalism. God, money, and the media are not as contradictory as one might assume. They rather mix a forward-looking strategy. The inter-disciplinary theology student from the German Heidelberg University has earned certficates in economics and psychology at the universities in Augsburg and Erlangen (Germany), and Princeton (USA). Parallely, he has been trained a journalist at the Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung, one of the biggest talent scholarships in Germany. Otte is a Fellow at Princeton University, Woodrow Wilson School for International Relations and Public Affairs and works with the Liechtenstein-Institute on Self-Determination. Jan Thomas Otte works as a correspondent in the network Constart.com and as a columnist at magazines for social enterprises.

Awards. On the International Economic Symposium at the University of St. Gallen (Switzerland), Jan Thomas Otte was nominated for the Wings of Excellence Award 2008. Similarly for the European Federation of Journalists award for integration and cultural diversity. In Europe, Otte has been nominated for several social challenges. In 2009, Otte is titled one of the 20 best up-coming journalists in Germany, nominated by the LBS Wegweiser.
